The Oaks
The Oaks sits on a quiet cove just off the Chesapeake Bay, about ten minutes from downtown St. Michaels and fifteen from Easton. For most, this is a road trip: roughly two hours from Philadelphia straight down Route 301 (no need to fight I-95), about six and a half from Toronto, and a full day's journey from Ocracoke, ferry included. Wherever you're coming from, you'll want a car - there's no train to the Eastern Shore, and rideshares are scarce out here.
On the wedding day we're running shuttles to and from The Oaks from select hotels (details below), so everyone can enjoy the evening without a designated driver.
By Car
Take US-301 South through Delaware and over to the Eastern Shore, then Route 50 toward Easton. Skip I-95 and the Bay Bridge entirely.
Don't forget your passport for the border crossing! If that's more driving than you're up for, see the flight options below.
About 6 hours up the coast (after the ferry) through Virginia and over the Bay Bridge-Tunnel.
By PLANE
The shortest drive to St. Michaels, with direct service from Toronto. Cross the Bay Bridge and you're practically there.
Direct flights from Toronto and Ottawa. Bonus: fly in a day early and see some of D.C. before heading to the shore.
Direct flights from Toronto daily, and the drive down follows the same easy Route 301 path our Philly guests will take.
