Our Story

How We Met

In the spring of 2020, Morgan was finishing her senior year at South Carolina and Tom was living in Toronto, freshly out of school. Then the world shut down, both of them moved home, and neither had any idea that giving the apps a shot was about to change their lives.

Unconventional times called for an unconventional first date, so theirs happened over FaceTime. Three hours later, neither one had figured out how to hang up. There was something there — something obvious enough that it couldn't be ignored.

The rest is history. Years of long distance between Philly and Canada, all airports and countdowns and late phone calls, and then, for the last three years, the same address. The memories keep piling up, and many of them belong to you too.

Fast forward to the Fall of 2020. A few conspiring friends, a bike ride, and a carefully curated playlist proved to be Greg's winning formula to Tayler's heart. Within weeks, our chance timing began to feel like fate. Tayler's mom had always insisted, "You'll know when you find your person. You'll just know." She was right.

Our first year together was spent constantly laughing, getting to know each other's families and friends, talking about our lives, what we were like as kids, who we want to be and the life we want to create. In 2022 we welcomed a baby boy, our son, Hudson, and even though he has no clue what personal space is, we love his unwavering love.

The Proposal

It started in March of 2025, in a jewelry store. Morgan already knew exactly which ring she wanted and Tom was happy to come along for the ride.

Then came the waiting. Morgan had always said she'd get engaged on a beach. Not a hope so much as a fact. So when summer came and went with sand, salt, and no ring, she was a little confused.

She recalibrated. Thanksgiving, Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina, her family's stretch of coast. That had to be it.

The weekend before, they drove down to USC for a football game, where Morgan spent the whole time telling Janie how sad she was that they wouldn't see each other again until Christmas. Tom and Janie smiled at each other behind her back. They'd all be together in seven days.

Then came Halloween. Unironically.Morgan got home from a long day of work and fell asleep on the couch. The "plan" was simple - meet everyone at Fringe Bar, on the corner of the pier, and bar hop for the holiday. Morgan was fashionably late, with no idea that the sunlight was running out.

At the bar, the story started to fray. Why isn't our table ready? There's nobody in there. Things were beginning to click. On the walk down the pier to "meet our friends," Morgan turned and asked, half-joking, "Are you about to propose to me in my emo goth outfit?"

A nervous laugh and a tug on her hand were all the confirmation she needed.

Tom asked her there, at the end of a pier they'd walked a hundred times before, with the Ben Franklin lit up behind them.

The second surprise came in their favorite place in the world: Dewey Beach. Morgan figured a few friends might turn up. She did not figure on more than fifty of them, family included, waiting to celebrate. The day dissolved into drinks and laughing and telling the story to anyone who'd listen, and ended, the way their nights in Dewey always do, at the Starboard.

A weekend they'll never forget. (Tom might forget some of it)

A chance encounter at a party in 2017. Two people, one degree of separation, and a story that needed time to unfold. One of those first meetings that leaves an impression, even if neither person quite knows why. That's how our first chapter begins – a brief but memorable introduction that would prove more significant than either of us could have known. But the best love stories rarely follow a straight line, and it would take three years, a global pandemic, and a perfectly timed reunion for our real story to begin.

It’s no surprise that we love to travel together - and some of our all time favorite memories have taken place on trips - whether it be Greg cracking a beer with Uncle Buzz and Larry in Ilderton, seeing Mamma Mia on the West End, taking Hudson running on the beach with our family in Stone Harbor, or Greg taking a two week trip with Tayler and her 2 sister wives to Spain. We love our family and friends more than anything in this world, and we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate this special moment surrounded by all of you. See you in Italy! Love, Tayler & Greg
